Today 28/6/06 The Worcester News has reported “vandals pour paint over swan statue”
Yobs poured brown paint over the swan statue in the attack which is believed to have happened during Sunday night. A similar attack occured in April 2004.
10 years ago the original statue was stolen.

St Andrews Spire is known locally as “The Glovers Needle.”
This is a reminder that Worcester was a glove making centre for many years. To the right of the spire is the College of Technoligy, prior to this the site of Worcester Porecelain’s original works. In centre of picture is the fountains, a popular feature paricularly in the summer months..
