Every year they would take thousands of Birmingham trippers down to the Wharfe Inn at Holt Fleet for the day. He also took parties to Worcester, Upton, Tewkesbury and Gloucester.

When a party of day trippers arrived at Worcester bridge on board the Jubilee from Tewkesbury, an enterprising photographer from the Empire Studio, Bridge Street. was waiting for them. By the time they had left later in the day he had produced postcards for them to take home. As quick as digital photography.
